AAA Dominio de Valdepusa DO - Marques de Grinon

The AAA Dominio de Valdepusa of Marques de Grinon is an outstanding, limited top red wine from the grape varieties Graciano and Petit Verdot. This red wine owes its name to the daughters of Carlos Falcó. All three daughters - Alejandra, Tamara, Aldara - have their own personality, which the winemaker wants to express in this wine. For this purpose, each daughter has three times the letter A in her name. 

In the glass shines an intense black-blue color with violet reflections. The intense bouquet is carried by lush aromas of fresh mint and red roses. These are joined by notes of black fruits - plum and raspberry in particular stand out - and exotic spices. On the palate, this excellent structured red wine convinces with a fleshy structure entwined by silky tannins. The finish of this Spanish wine awaits with amazing length and precision. 

Vinification of the Marques de Grinon AAA

From 14-year-old vines in the Spanish D.O. Dominio de Valdepusa region come the grapes for this limited edition wine. The vines grow on limestone and clay soils in a flat location (high plateau). 

The grapes are harvested very carefully by hand and strictly selected in the vineyard. A second selection of the grapes takes place in the winery and then the grapes are gently pressed. The resulting must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. After the fermentation process is complete, this red wine is aged for 30 months in new French oak barrels. 

Food recommendation for the AAA Dominio de Valdepusa Marques de Grinon

This dry red wine from Spain is an excellent soloist that should be decanted early. But this wine is also a delight with game dishes in dark sauce.
