The Emeritus Dominio de Valdepusa from Marques de Grinon is an expressive, complex red wine cuvée from the Cabernet Sauvignon (83%), Petit Verdot (11%) and Syrah (6%) grape varieties.
In the glass, this Spanish wine shines in a dark ruby red with slight violet reflections. The intense and complex bouquet shows complex aromas of dark red and black forest berries, complemented by mint, fine cedar wood, wild roses, cloves, lavender and peppers. On the palate, this cuvée reveals itself as a spectacular and extraordinary wine of enormous length.
Vinification of the Marques de Grinon Emeritus
The grapes grow in the Spanish cultivation region D.O. Dominio de Valdepusa on 5 year old vines. The soils are rich in lime and clay.
The reading period starts in mid-September and lasts until mid-October. The grapes are carefully picked by hand and strictly selected. The vineyard is gently pressed in the wine cellar of Marques de Grinon. The resulting mash is then fermented in stainless steel tanks in a temperature-controlled manner. This Spanish red wine is rounded off for a total of 24 months in French oak wooden barrels.
Food recommendation for the Emeritus Dominio de Valdepusa Marques de Grinon
