Vinya Gigi Chardonnay DO - Jean Leon

The Jean Leon Vinya Gigi Chardonnay is a first-class organic white wine. In this it shows a wonderfully bright, golden yellow color. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. This single varietal Spanish wine presents wonderfully fragrant and complex notes of nectarines, limes, cherry blossoms and lemongrass in the glass. These are joined by hints of roasted almond, juniper and Mediterranean herbs.

The Jean Leon Vinya Gigi Chardonnay presents itself to the wine lover pleasantly dry. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by a tremendously melting and silky texture. Vinification of the Vinya Gigi Chardonnay by Jean Leon

This balanced white wine from Spain is organically vinified from the Chardonnay grape variety. In Catalonia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and clay. Vinya Gigi Chardonnay is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Spaniard exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a maturation of 6 months in oak barrels.
