More information about Weißburgunder Jungherrn - Wein- Und Obstgut Stift Klosterneuburg

In the glass, the Weißburgunder Jungherrn from Wein- Und Obstgut Stift Klosterneuburg presents a bright, pale yellow color. This pure-varietal Austrian wine caresses the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of mirabelle plum, lemon, apple, and peach. Hints of other fruits join in. Wein- Und Obstgut Stift Klosterneuburg’s Weißburgunder Jungherrn presents itself to the connoisseur as delightfully dry. This white wine never appears rough or austere, as one might expect from a wine. Thanks to its vibrant acidity, the Weißburgunder Jungherrn appears wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the Vienna wine-growing region ultimately captivates with a lovely aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Weißburgunder Jungherrn from Wein- Und Obstgut Stift Klosterneuburg

This balanced white wine from Austria is vinified from the Weißburgunder grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Vienna. Here the vines drive their roots deep into limestone soils. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
