More information about Blaufränkisch - Salzl Seewinkelhof

In the glass, the Blaufränkisch from Salzl Seewinkelhof offers a bright purple color. In the glass, this red wine from Salzl Seewinkelhof reveals aromas of blueberries, mulberries, blackberries and black currants, complemented by gingerbread spice, firewood and vanilla. The Salzl Seewinkelhof Blaufränkisch delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 2.7 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Austrian naturally enchants with all dryness with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully velvety. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Blaufränkisch reveals itself to be exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Burgenland finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of blackberry and black currant. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by sand and loess are added.

Vinification of the Blaufränkisch from Salzl Seewinkelhof

The basis for the balanced Blaufränkisch from Burgenland are grapes from the grape variety Blaufränkisch. In Burgenland, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay, sand and loess. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Blaufränkisch from Salzl Seewinkelhof

This Austrian red wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to veal escalope with beans and tomatoes, boeuf bourguignon or vegetable couscous with beef meatballs.
