More information about Brutalis - Vidigal Wines

In the glass, Brutalis from the hand of Vidigal Wines reveals a dense, purplish-red color. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals high viscosity, which shows in pronounced church windows on the glass. The first nose of Brutalis reveals blueberries, mulberries and blackberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by oriental spices, black tea and vanilla.

Vidigal Wines Brutalis delights with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with 6.3 grams of residual sugar. As one would naturally expect from a wine in the icon wine segment, this Portuguese wine, despite all its dryness, enchants with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully dense. Thanks to its present acidity, Brutalis reveals itself on the palate as wonderfully fresh and vibrant. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Estremadura wine-growing region, more precisely from Lisboa VR, finally convinces with a beautiful aftertaste.

Vinification of Vidigal Wines Brutalis

This powerful red wine from Portugal is made from the Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for Brutalis from Vidigal Wines

Enjoy this red wine from Portugal best at a temperature of 15 - 18°C as a companion to vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, fried calf’s liver with apples, onions and balsamic sauce, or boeuf bourguignon.
