More information about Chardonnay Estate Wine - Paul Cluver

Paul Cluver's Chardonnay Estate Wine presents itself in a clear, radiant color with green-yellow highlights.
On the nose, there are notes of plenty of buttered toast and brioche, complemented by a zesty citrus aroma of tangerine and orange blossom. Hints of vanilla pods and roasted almond flakes round off the aromatic profile.

The characteristics of the bouquet continue on the palate, where they are balanced by a fine, fresh and natural acidity. The latter gives the wine a compact body as well as balance and concentration. On the finish, it is stimulating and beautifully balanced, elegant and extremely long with a touch of minerality.

Food recommendation for Paul Cluver’s Chardonnay

Enjoy it with mussel soup, creamy pasta dishes, fish (salmon), poultry, game birds and pork. It is also a wonderful pleasure on its own.

Vinification for the Chardonnay Estate Wine from Paul Cluver

The wine is first fermented in various barriques, after which one part remained on the lees and the other part (40%) underwent malolactic fermentation. Afterwards, both lots were blended. The term Estate Wine is a South African quality designation that guarantees that the wine was grown and produced on a registered wine estate.
