Chardonnay - Golden Kaan

With the Golden Kaan Chardonnay, a first-class white wine finds its way into the glass. It offers a wonderfully bright, golden-yellow color. In the glass, this white wine from Golden Kaan reveals aromas of mirabelles, guavas, star fruit, Galia melon and mangoes, complemented by whole-nut chocolate, roasted almond and walnut. This South African wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with 4.5 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine beyond the 4-euro mark, this South African, despite all its dryness, enchants with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, this well-balanced white wine is characterized by an exceptionally crisp texture. Thanks to its balanced acidity, the Chardonnay caresses the palate with a soft mouthfeel, without lacking juicy liveliness. On the finish, this youthful white wine from the Western Cape wine-growing region impresses with good length. Once again, hints of Galia melon and star fruit appear.

Vinification of the Golden Kaan Chardonnay

This white wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Chardonnay. Only first-class grape material was used for this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Golden Kaan. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Chardonnay can continue to harmonize for a few months on the fine lees.
