Chardonnay Goriska Brda - Princic

The elegant Chardonnay Goriska Brda from the Princic estate flows into the glass with a bright golden yellow. In the glass it presents wonderfully expressive notes of apple, lemon, peach and mirabelle plum. There are also hints of hay.

On the palate, Princic’s Chardonnay Goriska Brda starts off delightfully aromatic, fruit-forward and balanced. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced white wine is wonderfully silky and creamy. The finish of this white wine from Slovenia, more precisely from Brda, ultimately delights with a lovely aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral facets from the sandstone-dominated soils.

Vinification of Princic Chardonnay Goriska Brda

This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Chardonnay. Only flawless grape material was used for this exceptionally well-balanced varietal wine from Princic. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Slovenia. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into sandstone soils. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After it is complete, the Chardonnay Goriska Brda can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees.

This white wine from Slovenia is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is the perfect accompaniment to omelette with salmon and fennel, cod with cucumber-mustard vegetables, or leek soup.
