More information about Club Batonnage 1,5 l Magnum - Markus Altenburger
The barrel-aged Club Batonnage 1.5 L Magnum from the wine-growing region of Burgenland presents itself in the glass as a dense ruby red. In the glass, this red wine from Club Batonnage reveals aromas of blackberry jam and blackberries, complemented by toasted wood and cocoa. The Club Batonnage 1.5 L Magnum impresses with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a true quality wine, clearly distinguished from more basic qualities, and thus delights this Austrian with a fine balance despite its dryness. Flavor does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. Full-bodied and complex, this dense red wine appeals at the palate. On the finish, this highly age-worthy wine from the Burgenland region impresses with extraordinary length. Once again, hints of blackberry and blackberry jam emerge.
Vinification of the Club Batonnage 1.5 L Magnum
This powerful Austrian red wine is vinified from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Once physiological ripeness is achieved, the grapes for the Club Batonnage 1.5 L Magnum are hand-harvested exclusively without the aid of strenuous and less selective machinery. After harvest, the grapes are immediately transferred to the winery. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. The fermentation then takes place in large wooden vessels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the powerful Club Batonnage 1.5 L Magnum continues to mature for several months in barrels made of French oak.
