More information about Black Print trocken 1,5 l Magnum - Markus Schneider
Black Print by Markus Schneider is a German red wine legend. The wine owes its name to its dense, almost black color, which evoked associations with printer’s ink among the first people who had the chance to taste Black Print. And thus the name was found.
Black Print pours into the glass with a dense, purple-red color and a blackberry-black core. The nose is caressed by plenty of ripe blackberry and blueberry fruit, complemented by ripe cherries, a touch of dark chocolate, and nuances of licorice and a hint of Christmas spices.
On the palate, Schneider Black Print is wonderfully velvety and soft. The round tannins are excellently integrated and make this red wine cuvée from the Palatinate a true charmer on the palate. The polished, well-balanced finish is also magnificent. A pleasure every year anew.
Vinification of Black Print by Markus Schneider
For his red wine classic, Markus uses international classics such as Syrah, Merlot, Blaufränkisch, and Cabernet Sauvignon, but also new varieties like Cabernet Dorsa. The grapes grow both on sandy soils and on limestone-rich subsoil.
After harvesting, the grapes are crushed and fermented in wooden vats for just under four weeks. Afterwards, Black Print matures in oak barrels until the autumn of the following year, when it is finally bottled and released for sale.
