The mousse of this sparkling wine appears wonderfully persistent and fine in the glass. After the first swirl, one can perceive a perfect balance in this sparkling wine, since it does not appear watery, syrupy, or liqueur-like on the sides of the glass. In the glass, this sparkling wine from Domaine Achard-Vincent offers aromas of brioche, green apple, lemons, and peaches, complemented by gorse. On the palate, this well-balanced sparkling wine is characterized by an immensely dense and creamy texture. On the finish, this wine from the Rhône Valley winegrowing region finally delights with lovely length. Once again, hints of green apple and peach appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone- and clay-dominated soils are added.
Vinification of the Cremant De Die P'Tit Jules from Domaine Achard-Vincent
The balanced Cremant De Die P'Tit Jules from France is a cuvée, organically vinified from the grape varieties Aligoté, Clairette, and Yellow Muscat. In the Rhône Valley, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. The Cremant De Die P'Tit Jules is quite clearly also shaped by the climate and winemaking style of Cairanne. This French wine can, in the best sense of the word, be described as an Old World wine, presenting itself as exceptionally distinguished and complex. The ripening of the grapes for this wine made from Aligoté, Clairette, and Yellow Muscat is to a considerable extent influenced by the climate of the growing region. In the Rhône Valley, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripened grapes and a rather moderate must weight. After the harvest, the grapes are brought quickly to the press house. There, they are selected and gently pressed. Fermentation of the base wines then follows.
