More information about Edition Gewürztraminer dry - Bergdolt-Reif & Nett
In the glass, the Edition Gewürztraminer from Bergdolt-Reif & Nett displays a bright copper-golden color. The bouquet of this white wine from the Pfalz seduces with hints of passion fruit, pineapple, rose, and lemon. Its fruit-forward character makes this wine particularly special.
This German wine delights with its straight-tasting dry profile. It has been bottled with 4.4 grams of residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that stands out clearly from simpler varieties and, despite all its dryness, enchants with a fine balance. Flavor does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly light and crisp texture. With its prominent fruit acidity, the Edition Gewürztraminer shows itself wonderfully fresh and vibrant on the palate. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the region of Pfalz ultimately impresses with good length. Hints of pineapple and passion fruit appear once again. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay and loess-dominated soils add to the complexity.
Vinification of the Bergdolt-Reif & Nett Edition Gewürztraminer
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Gewürztraminer. Only the best grapes were used for this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Bergdolt-Reif & Nett. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Pfalz. The vines dig their roots deep into clay and loess soils here. After hand harvesting, the grapes are promptly taken to the pressing house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Edition Gewürztraminer can harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
Food Recommendation for the Bergdolt-Reif & Nett Edition Gewürztraminer
This white wine from Germany should be enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It pairs perfectly with Thai cucumber salad, fried trout with ginger-pear, or leek tortilla.
