More information about Frickenhäuser Kapellenberg Fränkischer Gemischter Satz - Bickel-Stumpf

In the glass, the Franconian Gemischter Satz from Bickel-Stumpf presents a bright platinum yellow color. When swirling the wine glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it stands out neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. The bouquet of this white wine from Franconia captivates with aromas of lavender, quince, nashi pear and cherry blossom. If we trace the aromatics further, garrigue, green bell pepper and lovage come in.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 4.5 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine in the top wine range, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine presents itself wonderfully light. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Frickenhäuser Kapellenberg Fränkischer Gemischter Satz reveals itself to be fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Franconia finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of rose and honeysuckle appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils are added.

Vinification of the Bickel-Stumpf  Fränkischer Gemischter Satz Frickenhäuser Kapellenberg

The balanced Frickenhäuser Kapellenberg Fränkischer Gemischter Satz from Germany is a cuvée, pressed from the grape varieties Elbling, Gewürztraminer, Goldmuskateller, Gutedel, Muskateller, Riesling and Silvaner. In Franconia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone. Frickenhäuser Kapellenberg is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this German wine breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. A considerable influence on the development of the vintage is also the fact that the grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of the fermentation, the Frickenhäuser Kapellenberg Fränkischer Gemischter Satz is left to harmonize on its fine lees for a few months.
