More information about Hard Chardonnay trocken unfiltriert - Ziereisen
With the Ziereisen Hard Chardonnay unfiltered, a first-class white wine comes into the swirled glass. In this it reveals a wonderfully bright, golden yellow color. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, because it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. In the glass, this white wine from Ziereisen offers aromas of nashi pear, orange blossom, apples, cherry blossom and acacia, complemented by forest floor, lovage and bitter chocolate. This dry white wine from Ziereisen is perfect for purists who like it absolutely dry. Finally, on the finish, this white from the Baden winegrowing region delights with beautiful length. Again, hints of nashi pear and cherry blossom show. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Ziereisen Hard Chardonnay unfiltered
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Chardonnay. Only impeccable grapes were harvested for this exceptionally balanced varietal wine from Ziereisen. In Baden, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone. Hard Chardonnay unfiltered is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this German wine breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The grapes for this white wine from Germany, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are taken by the fastest route to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Hard Chardonnay is aged unfiltered for several months in oak barrels.
