The nose of this white wine from Rheinhessen impresses with notes of star fruit, Galia melon, papaya and mango. Following the aroma further, Mediterranean herbs, juniper and garrigue emerge.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with 5 grams of residual sugar. As one would naturally expect from a wine in the premium entry-level segment, this German wine enchants, despite all its dryness, with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. Thanks to its pronounced fruit acidity, the Kaisermantel Chardonnay reveals itself on the palate as exceptionally fresh and lively. The finish of this youthful white wine from the Rheinhessen wine-growing region is ultimately distinguished by a beautiful aftertaste.
Vinification of the Weingut Dr. Koehler Kaisermantel Chardonnay
This elegant white wine from Germany is made from the Chardonnay grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
