More information about Leiwener Riesling feinherb - Josef Rosch
The Leiwener Riesling from the Mosel wine-growing region presents itself in the glass with a brilliantly shimmering light yellow. The first nose of the Leiwener Riesling reveals notes of peach, vineyard peach and pear. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by cocoa bean, black tea and dark chocolate.
The Leiwener Riesling can be described as exceptionally fruit-driven and velvety, as it has been vinified with a pleasantly sweet flavor profile. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Leiwener Riesling appears wonderfully fresh and vibrant on the palate.
Vinification of the Leiwener Riesling by Josef Rosch
The basis for the elegant Leiwener Riesling from the Mosel are grapes of the Riesling variety. At the point of optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Leiwener Riesling are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of coarse, less selective harvesters. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
