The powerful Les Cinq Mercurey Premier Cru Cuvée of Château de Chamirey shines in the glass with dense light red. The color of this white wine also shows reflections at the core. When swirling the glass, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, which is evident in distinct church windows at the edge of the glass. The first nose of Les Cinq Mercurey Premier Cru Cuvée presents nuances of white currants and gooseberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

The Château de Chamirey Les Cinq Mercurey Premier Cru Cuvée impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a true quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety. In the finish, this very storable from the wine-growing region of Burgundy finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of gooseberry and white currant. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and limestone are added.

Vinification of the Les Cinq Mercurey Premier Cru Cuvée from Château de Chamirey

The basis for the powerful Les Cinq Mercurey Premier Cru Cuvée from Burgundy are grapes from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Burgundy. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay, limestone and marl. Without question, Les Cinq Mercurey Premier Cru Cuvée is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors Cote Chalonnaise and Couchois. This French wine can literally be described as an Old World wine that is exceptionally impressive. The grapes for this red wine from France, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand . After the harvest, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, Les Cinq Mercurey Premier Cru Cuvée is aged for another 15 months in small French oak barrels.
