More information about Liefkoos Rosé - Lievland

The Liefkoos Rosé from Lievland, sourced from Cape South Coast, displays a luminous, bright red color in the glass. The bouquet of this Rosé from Cape South Coast captivates with hints of Gallia melon, lemongrass, physalis, and mango. As we continue to explore the aromatics, notes of black tea, oriental spices, and gingerbread spice emerge.

The Lievland Liefkoos Rosé presents itself to the wine lover as pleasantly dry. This Rosé wine is never coarse or austere, as one might expect from a high-quality wine. On the palate, it is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. Thanks to its balanced fruit acidity, the Liefkoos Rosé offers a pleasing mouthfeel without sacrificing juicy vibrancy. The youthful Rosé from the Cape South Coast region impresses with its beautiful length on the finish. Once again, hints of pineapple and Gallia melon appear.

Vinification of the Liefkoos Rosé by Lievland

This well-balanced Rosé from South Africa is produced from the Mourvèdre and Syrah grape varieties. The grapes for this South African Rosé are hand-harvested solely once optimal ripeness is confirmed. After harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes several months of aging on fine lees before being bottled.

This South African should be best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to dishes such as asparagus salad with quinoa, omelet with salmon and fennel, or wok vegetables with fish.
