Vinification of Weingut Hammel Lokalmatador Weissburgunder Grauburgunder
The balanced Lokalmatador Weissburgunder Grauburgunder from Germany is a cuvée made from the grape varieties Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris) and Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc). The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into soils of clay and loess. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
