In the glass, the organically produced Mme. Rouge Cuvée from Kesselring presents a bright light-red color. The first nose of the Mme. Rouge Cuvée caresses with nuances of sour cherries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances.
With its pleasantly measured residual sweetness of 11.8 grams per liter, the Mme. Rouge Cuvée flatters the palate and enchants with its rounded and harmonious texture. On the tongue, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by an exceptionally dense texture. Thanks to its present fruit acidity, the Mme. Rouge Cuvée reveals itself on the palate as extraordinarily fresh and lively. On the finish, this youthful red wine from the Palatinate wine-growing region finally delights with a beautiful length. Once again, hints of sour cherry appear.
Vinification of the Mme. Rouge Cuvée from Kesselring
The basis for the balanced Mme. Rouge Cuvée from Germany is grapes from the Merlot, Saint Laurent and Pinot Noir varieties. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for Kesselring Mme. Rouge Cuvée
This German wine is best enjoyed at a tempered 15 - 18°C. It is perfectly suited as an accompanying wine to duck breast with sugar snap peas, stuffed bell peppers, or boiled veal topside with beans and tomatoes.
