More information about Pinot Noir 1,5 l Magnum - Hamilton Russell

In the glass, the Pinot Noir 1.5 l Magnum from Hamilton Russell offers a bright light red color. If you swirl the wine glass, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, because it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. With a little time in the glass, this red wine from South Africa shows wonderfully expressive aromas of pomegranate and red currant, rounded off by blueberry, which is contributed by the aging in wooden barrels.

This South African wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this South African enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the tongue, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by a tremendously fleshy texture. In the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region of the Western Cape, which can be stored well, finally inspires with extraordinary length. Hints of pomegranate and red currant are again evident.

Vinification of the Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir 1,5 l Magnum

This balanced red wine from South Africa is made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.

Food recommendation for the Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir 1,5 l Magnum

Enjoy this red wine from South Africa ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to osso buco, roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce or stuffed peppers.
