More information about Ghost Corner Pinot Noir - Cederberg

With the Cederberg Ghost Corner Pinot Noir, a first-class red wine makes its way into the swirling glass. It displays a wonderfully bright, light red color. After the first swirl, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not appear watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the sides of the glass. On the nose, this Cederberg red wine reveals all kinds of raspberries. As if that were not impressive enough, ageing in stainless steel adds earthy notes and black cherry.

On the palate, the Ghost Corner Pinot Noir from Cederberg opens pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the tongue, this harmonious red wine is characterized by an immensely dense texture. On the finish, this well-age-worthy red wine from the Western Cape wine region finally delights with considerable length. Nuances of raspberry appear again.

Vinification of the Ghost Corner Pinot Noir from Cederberg

The basis for the balanced Ghost Corner Pinot Noir from the Western Cape is grapes of the Pinot Noir variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
