More information about Pinotage - Zonnebloem

The Pinotage from Zonnebloem sparkles in the glass in a ruby red, which is crossed by a violet glow. Elegant aromas of cherry liqueur and dark fruits, such as plum, caress the nose and combine with undertones of mocha chocolate and a woody spice.

Cherry and mocha flavors unfold on the full-bodied, balanced palate of Zonnebloem's Pinotage, refined by a delicate wood spice. Fruit and strong, round tannins are superbly integrated for a long, lingering finish. This red wine from Stellenbosch, South Africa, is perfectly balanced and harmonious.

Vinification for the Zonnebloem Pinotage

This single varietal wine is aged 45% in steel tanks and 55% in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Zonnebloem Pinotage

Enjoy this dry red wine either solo or with dark meat dishes, leg of lamb, pasta with mushrooms or chocolatey desserts.
