More information about Pomerol AOP - Château Gazin

Château Gazin Pomerol is a first-class red wine that enters the wine glass. In this it reveals a wonderfully bright, crimson color. After the first swirl, one can perceive a first-class balance in this red wine, because it stands out on the walls of the glass neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. The bouquet of this red wine from Bordeaux captivates with aromas of sour cherry. If we trace the aromatics further, nutmeg, vanilla and blueberry come in.

On the palate, Château Gazin's Pomerol opens pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of sour cherry. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by gravel and clay are added.

Vinification of Château Gazin Pomerol

This balanced red wine from France is made from Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes. In Bordeaux, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and gravel. Pomerol is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Pomerol are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of punishing and barely selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for 18 months in oak barriques.

Food recommendation for the Pomerol of Château Gazin

This red wine from France is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to boeuf bourguignon, leek tortilla or pasta with sausage dumplings.
