More information about Rosé trocken - Groh
The rosé from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen presents itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering strawberry-pink. The Groh Rosé presents itself to the wine drinker pleasantly dry. This rosé wine never shows itself coarse or meager, but round and smooth. Light-footed and multifaceted, this crisp rosé wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the rosé is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this youthful rosé wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen, more precisely from Bechtheim, finally impresses with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by marl and limestone.
Vinification of the Groh Rosé
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully elegant Cuvée Rosé from Groh are Blauer Portugieser and Pinot Noir grapes. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and marl. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Groh Rosé
This rosé wine from Germany is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to pumpkin casserole, fruity endive salad or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
