The basis for the elegant Sandgrube 13 Rosé Zweigelt from Austria is grapes of the Zweigelt variety. In Lower Austria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on loess soils. The wine berries for this rosé wine from Austria are harvested particularly quickly and at the coolest possible time of day once optimal ripeness is ensured, in order to preserve their aromas. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine ages for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
