More information about Sauvage Riesling trocken - Georg Breuer

The Sauvage Riesling from the wine-growing region the Rheingau reveals itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering light yellow. In the glass, this white wine from Georg Breuer presents aromas of grapefruit, lime, grapefruit, lilac and lemon, complemented by cream candy, yeast plait and brioche. The Georg Breuer Sauvage Riesling presents itself to the wine lover pleasantly dry. This white wine never appears coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully light and crisp. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Sauvage Riesling reveals itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of the Rheingau finally thrilled with beautiful length. Again, hints of grapefruit and lemon appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by slate and clay are added.

Vinification of the Sauvage Riesling by Georg Breuer

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Riesling. Only premium grape material was harvested for this wonderfully elegant single varietal wine from Georg Breuer. In the Rheingau, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and slate. After the harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Sauvage Riesling is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for several months.

Food recommendation for the Georg Breuer Sauvage Riesling

Enjoy this white wine from Germany ideally well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompanying wine to lemon chili chicken with bulgur, spinach gratin with almonds or leek soup.
