More information about Scheu aber geil Scheurebe trocken - Emil Bauer

The light-footed shy but horny Scheurebe from the pen of Emil Bauer flows into the glass with brilliant light yellow. To the nose, this Emil Bauer white wine reveals all manner of grapefruit, pomelo, orange, lemongrass and grapefruit. As if that weren't impressive enough, the stainless steel aging adds forest floor and sun-warmed rocks.

On the palate, Emil Bauer's Scheu aber geil Scheurebe opens wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied white wine is wonderfully crisp. In the finish, this white from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of pomelo and grapefruit appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and limestone join in.

Vinification of the Scheu aber geil Scheurebe by Emil Bauer

This elegant white wine from Germany is made from the grape variety Scheurebe. In the Palatinate region, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay, limestone and loess. When the perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for the Scheu aber geil Scheurebe are harvested particularly quickly and at the coolest possible time of day to preserve their aromas. After the grapes have been harvested, they are taken to the winery by the fastest route possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Scheu aber geil Scheurebe can harmonize further for a few months on the fine lees.

Food recommendation for the Scheu aber geil Scheurebe from Emil Bauer

This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to leek tortilla, chickpea curry or arugula penne.
