The first nose of this Spätburgunder shows notes of raspberries, elderberry and sour cherries. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by barrel-aging notes, adding further fruity-balsamic nuances.
This German wine delights with its straightforward dry flavor profile. It was bottled with only 1.4 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and thus, despite all its dryness, this German wine enchants with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require residual sugar. Balanced and multi-faceted, this silky and velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to its well-integrated acidity, the Spätburgunder caresses with a pleasing mouthfeel without lacking freshness. Vinification of the Spätburgunder from J.J. Adeneuer
The basis for the balanced Spätburgunder from Germany is grapes of the Spätburgunder variety. At optimal ripeness, the grapes for this Spätburgunder are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of coarse, barely selective machinery. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by several months of aging in oak barrels.

This German wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompanying wine with spicy lamb curry, arugula penne, or baked feta parcels.
