The Terres d'Artagnan Rouge from the Sud-Ouest wine-growing region presents itself in the glass in dense purple red. In the glass, this red wine from Plaimont reveals aromas of plums, damsons, morello cherries, black currants and violets, complemented by further fruity nuances. The Plaimont Terres d'Artagnan Rouge appears pleasantly dry to the wine enthusiast. This red wine never comes across as coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine beyond the 4-euro mark. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully dense. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Sud-Ouest wine-growing region finally delights with good length. Once again, hints of lilac and plum appear.
Vinification of Plaimont Terres d'Artagnan Rouge
This powerful red wine from France is made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tannat. After hand-picking, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Terres d'Artagnan Rouge can further harmonize for a few months on the fine lees. After the wine is finished, the Terres d'Artagnan Rouge is gently harmonized.
