More information about The King's Favour Sauvignon Blanc - Marisco

The Kings Favour Sauvignon Blanc from Marisco of New Zealand's South Island offers a bright, pale yellow color in the wine glass. After the first swirl, in the glass this white wine from Marisco offers aromas of star fruit, pomelo, kumquats, pineapple and grapefruits, complemented by sun-warmed rocks and forest floor. This white from Marisco is the right choice for all wine lovers who like it dry. However, it never shows itself meager or brittle, as one would naturally expect from a wine in this price range. Due to its concise fruit acidity, The Kings Favour Sauvignon Blanc reveals itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate.

Vinification of the Marisco The Kings Favour Sauvignon Blanc

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Sauvignon Blanc. For this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Marisco, only first-class grapes were used. The grapes grow close to the river on New Zealand's South Island. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. Due to the moderating influence of the nearby river, the grapes ripen more slowly and develop more aromatic partiality. The fact that Sauvignon Blanc grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a considerable influence on the ripening of the grapes. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for The Kings Favour Sauvignon Blanc are harvested particularly quickly and at the coolest possible time of day to preserve their aromas. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.

Food recommendation for the Marisco The Kings Favour Sauvignon Blanc
