More information

The large Riesling plant from Aldinger from the Untertürkheimer gypsum comes from the fillet piece Marienglas. In the glass it comes with beautiful platinum yellow and white gold reflections. The first nose shows a lot of yellow stone fruit such as mirabelle and apricot, supplemented by mandarin and grapefruit. The impressive bouquet of this lace giant from Württemberg is perfectly rounded off by hints of almonds and delicate nuances.

On the palate, the Marienglas-Riesling GG is intense, concentrated, dreamlike penetrating and wonderfully salty mineral. A fine melt allows this tip giant to skilfully jump over the tongue and flow into a very long and complex finish. Great art and absolutely top rated.

Vinification of the Aldinger Untertürkheimer gypsum Pinot Blanc

This Riesling from the Große Lage Marienglas Untertürkheimer gypsum is fermented exclusively spontaneously and stormy (i.e. without cooling) in a large wooden barrel, which gives the wine enormous depth and complexity, but for the winemaker carries a high risk. If the wrong yeast strains prevail during fermentation, the wine will develop faulty tones.

After fermentation, the Untertürkheim gypsum Marienglas Riesling matures for a full 10 months on the whole yeast before it is bottled and placed on the market on 1 September of the following year.
