More information about Villa Blanche Sauvignon Blanc IGP - Calmel & Joseph

The Villa Blanche Sauvignon Blanc of Calmel & Joseph from Languedoc shows a brilliant, light yellow color in the wine glass. The bouquet of this white wine from Languedoc delights with hints of pomelo, acacia, grapefruit and cherry blossom. If we trace the aromatics further, vanilla, oak and cocoa bean are added, encouraged by the oak influence.

The Calmel & Joseph Villa Blanche Sauvignon Blanc presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. The fruit acidity of Villa Blanche Sauvignon Blanc is pleasantly rounded and makes this wine wonderfully smooth. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of orange blossom and pink grapefruit. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by gravel and clay are added.

Vinification of the Villa Blanche Sauvignon Blanc by Calmel & Joseph

This elegant white wine from France is vinified from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. In Languedoc, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay, limestone and gravel. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for 3 months in French barrels.

Food recommendation for Calmel & Joseph Villa Blanche Sauvignon Blanc

This white wine from France is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to coconut-lime fish curry, asparagus salad with quinoa or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
