More information about Abtsberg Riesling Kabinett - Weingut Maximin Grünhaus
The barrel-aged Abtsberg Riesling Kabinett from the Mosel wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in a brilliantly shimmering light yellow. When the glass is swirled, this white wine is characterized by a wonderful lightness that lets it dance dynamically in the glass. This single-variety German wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of pear, mirabelle, lemon and peach in the glass. Added to this are hints of other fruits.
The Abtsberg Riesling Kabinett can rightly be described as exceptionally fruit-driven and velvety, as it was vinified with a pleasantly sweet flavor profile. On the finish, this youthful white wine from the Mosel region finally delights with a lovely length. Once again, hints of green apple and mango appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the slate-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of Weingut Maximin Grünhaus Abtsberg Riesling Kabinett
This elegant white wine from Germany is made from the Riesling grape variety. On the Mosel, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on slate soils. After handpicking, the grapes are brought to the press house without delay. There, they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large wooden and stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the light-footed Abtsberg Riesling Kabinett is aged for a few more months in 1,000-liter oak Fuder casks.
