The Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot from Bretz in Rheinhessen presents a dense, purple-red color in the swirled glass. At the rim there is also a color transition into garnet red. The initial nose of the Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot caresses with blueberries, blackcurrants, and mulberries. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes from barrel aging such as garrigue, cigar box, and green bell pepper.

Vinification of the Bretz Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot
This powerful red wine from Germany is vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by a maturation for several months in oak barrels. After the wine is finished, the Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot is gently harmonized.
