Vinification of the Oriol Rossell Cava Brut Rosé
This elegant sparkling wine from Spain is made from the grape varieties Garnacha and Pinot Noir. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Catalonia. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into clay and limestone soils. The Cava Brut Rosé is an Old World wine through and through, as this Spaniard exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. A considerable influence on the ripening of the harvest also comes from the fact that the Garnacha and Pinot Noir grapes thrive under the influence of a warm climate. This is reflected, among other things, in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high alcohol content in the wine. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by the fermentation of the base wines.
