More information about Enate Gewürztraminer DO - Enate
The powerful Enate Gewürztraminer from Enate flows into the glass with a dense copper-gold color. This varietal Spanish wine flatters the nose in the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of roses and lychees. Hints of other fruits join in.
This wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with 3.7 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and thus, despite all its dryness, this Spaniard enchants with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, Enate Gewürztraminer caresses the palate with a velvety mouthfeel, while not lacking in freshness at the same time. The finish of this white wine from the Aragon wine-growing region ultimately delights with a lovely aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the limestone- and sand-dominated soils.
Vinification of Enate Enate Gewürztraminer
The basis for the powerful Enate Gewürztraminer from Spain is grapes of the Gewürztraminer variety. In Aragon, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow in soils of sand and limestone. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
