More information about Gewurztraminer - Battistotti
The powerful Gewurztraminer from the Battistotti winery flows into the glass with dense copper-gold. Poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine presents wonderfully expressive aromas of orange and rose, rounded off by further fruity nuances.
The Battistotti Gewurztraminer presents itself to the wine drinker as wonderfully dry. This white wine never appears coarse or lean, as one might expect from a wine. On the palate, the texture of this powerful white wine is wonderfully silky, velvety, creamy, and dense. The finish of this white wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region, more precisely from Trentino DOC, is ultimately captivating with its lovely aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the limestone-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Gewurztraminer from Battistotti
This powerful white wine from Italy is vinified from the Gewürztraminer grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here the vines sink their roots deep into limestone soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally drawn off.
Food recommendation for the Gewurztraminer from Battistotti
