The Fransola Sauvignon Blanc from the pen of Miguel Torres of Catalonia presents a bright, light yellow color in the swirled glass. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, as it does not stand out on the glass walls in a watery, syrupy or liqueur-like manner. This Spanish cuvée flatters the glass with wonderfully complex notes of pineapple, nectarines, vineyard peach and guava. It is joined by hints of oriental spices, cocoa bean and gingerbread spice.
The Miguel Torres Fransola Sauvignon Blanc delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. The balanced Fransola Sauvignon Blanc from Spain is a cuvée, pressed from the grape varieties Parellada and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Catalonia. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. Fransola Sauvignon Blanc is an Old World wine through and through, as this Spaniard exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The berries for this white wine from Spain, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand . After harvesting, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
