The Braide Grande Pinot Grigio Collio DOC has an intense straw yellow color in the glass, with a bouquet of spicy and floral aromas on the nose. The palate is dry, full-bodied, almost wild, with hints of nutmeg in the long finish.

Vinification of the Braide Grande Pinot Grigio Collio DOC from Livon

The grapes for this Pinot Grigio Cru from Livon grow in the Braide vineyard near Ruttars in the municipality of Dolegna del Collio in eastern Friuli, on clayey marl soils of oceanic origin. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, brought to the wine cellar in small crates and cold macerated in the horizontal press for eight hours, after which the must is clarified by natural decantation. Fermentation then takes place in French Allier barriques for 30% of the wine and in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 10°C for 70%. The wine is then left to mature for eight months at a constant temperature in the same vats in which the fermentation took place. At the end of this period, the cuvée is formed from the differently matured wines, bottled and the finished wine is left to harmonize in the bottle for a further period before it is released for sale.
The Cru Braide Grande Pinot Grigio can be stored for 6 to 10 years.
