More information about G Blaufränkisch St. Laurent - Weingut Gesellmann
The powerful G Blaufränkisch St. Laurent Weingut Gesellmann flows into the glass with dense purple-red. This Austrian red also shows a transition into garnet red. If you give it some air in the wine glass by swirling, this red wine reveals high viscosity, which shows in pronounced church windows on the glass. On the nose, this Weingut Gesellmann red wine presents all kinds of lilies, forest berry jam, mulberries, Mon Cheri cherry and perfumed rose. As if that were not already impressive, further aromas such as gingerbread spice, cocoa bean and cinnamon are added through maturation in small wooden barrels.
The G Blaufränkisch St. Laurent from Weingut Gesellmann is ideal for all wine enthusiasts who prefer as little residual sweetness in wine as possible. At the same time, it never appears meager or austere, as one would naturally expect in an icon-wine segment. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an immensely meaty and dense texture. On the finish, this red wine from the Burgenland wine-growing region finally delights with a lovely length. Once again, nuances of jasmine and mulberry appear.
Vinification of the G Blaufränkisch St. Laurent from Weingut Gesellmann
This powerful red wine from Austria is vinified from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch and Saint Laurent. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the G Blaufränkisch St. Laurent is matured for another 40 months in oak barriques.
