With the Domäne Wachau Himmelstiege Grüner Veltliner Smaragd comes a first-class white wine in the glass. In this it shows a wonderfully bright, platinum yellow color. The first nose of Himmelstiege Grüner Veltliner Smaragd shows notes of gallia melon, papayas and pomelo. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

On the palate, the Himmelstiege Grüner Veltliner Smaragd from Domäne Wachau starts pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. There is dry and really dry. This white wine belongs to the latter group, as it was bottled with only 1.6 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully crisp. Vinification of the Domäne Wachau Himmelstiege Grüner Veltliner Smaragd

The basis for the balanced Himmelstiege Grüner Veltliner Smaragd from Lower Austria are grapes from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Himmelstiege Grüner Veltliner Smaragd are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Himmelstiege Grüner Veltliner Smaragd can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees....
