Vinification of Weingut Maximin Grünhaus Herrenberg Riesling GG

The basis for the balanced Herrenberg Riesling GG from the Mosel is grapes of the Riesling variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions on the Mosel. The vines sink their roots deep into slate soils here. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large wooden and stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the elegant Herrenberg Riesling GG is aged for several more months in 1,000-liter oak Fuder casks.
