Vinification of the Literweise Cuveé red from Weingut Hammel
This balanced red wine from Germany is made from the grape varieties Acolon, Dornfelder, and Regent. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay and loess. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently broken. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
