From the grape varieties Cariñena (70%) and Grenache (30%), the enchanting, Spanish red wine cuvée Llenca Plana from Terra de Falanis in the Catalan D.O. Montsant vinified.
A dark cherry red with ruby highlights shines in the glass. The rich bouquet reveals intense aromas of red and black fruits - blackberries, plums, raspberries and subtle hints of currant are clearly perceptible. The wood aging gives this Spanish red wine its spicy and peppery character. This wine is grippy and juicy on the palate. The supple tannins are well integrated into the velvety dense body. The finish waits with a pleasant length.
Vinification of the Terra de Falanis Llenca Plana
The grapes for this red wine come from approximately 25-year-old vines from the single vineyard Llenca Plana in La Serra d' Almos, which is located in the Spanish growing region Montsant. This site is located at one of the highest points of the region.
Carefully, the grapes for this red wine are harvested by hand and immediately brought to the winery. There, the grapes are selected, crushed and fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Wood aging lasts a total of 6 months and takes place in barrels of American and French oak (second and third occupancy).
