Vinification of Weingut Faubel Maikammer Sauvignon Blanc

The basis for the balanced Maikammer Sauvignon Blanc from the Pfalz are grapes of the Sauvignon Blanc variety. In the Pfalz, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on loess soils. The grapes for this German white wine are harvested as quickly as possible and preferably in the morning at optimal ripeness in order to preserve their aromatics. After harvesting, the grapes are swiftly brought to the winery, where they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
