The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as vanilla, cinnamon and oriental spices.

Vinification of the 3055 Merlot Petit Verdot by Jean Leon

The powerful 3055 Merlot Petit Verdot from Spain is a cuvée, organically produced from the grape varieties Merlot and Petit Verdot. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Catalonia. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the 3055 Merlot Petit Verdot is aged for 5 months in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the 3055 Merlot Petit Verdot from Jean Leon

This red wine from Spain is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce, vegetable stew with pesto or chickpea curry.
