This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Chardonnay. Only impeccable grapes were used for this wonderfully elegant varietal wine from Klumpp. In Baden, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and limestone. The fact that the Chardonnay grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a considerable influence on the ripening of the vintage. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. The grapes for this white wine from Germany are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After the harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in French barrels.
