More information about Muschelkalk Chardonnay trocken - Klumpp

The Muschelkalk Chardonnay from Klumpp in Baden offers a brilliant golden yellow color in the glass. After the first swirl, this white wine is characterized by an immense lightness that makes it dance nimbly in the glass. This single varietal German wine presents wonderfully complex notes of plums, violets, roses and lilies in the glass. These are joined by hints of forest floor and sun-warmed rock.

The Klumpp Muschelkalk Chardonnay delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1.5 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. Light-footed and complex, this buttery, crisp and melting white wine presents itself on the palate. With its lively fruit acidity, the Muschelkalk Chardonnay reveals itself fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Baden, more precisely from Bruchsal (DE), finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by clay and limestone.

Vinification of the Muschelkalk Chardonnay from Klumpp

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Chardonnay. Only impeccable grapes were used for this wonderfully elegant varietal wine from Klumpp. In Baden, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and limestone. The fact that the Chardonnay grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a considerable influence on the ripening of the vintage. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. The grapes for this white wine from Germany are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After the harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in French barrels.

Food recommendation for Klumpp Muschelkalk Chardonnay
