Pinotage - Golden Kaan

This single-varietal South African wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of blackberries, blueberries, morello cherries, and mulberries in the glass. These are joined by hints of black tea, vanilla, and gingerbread spice.

On the palate, the Pinotage from Golden Kaan opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven, and well-balanced. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is delightfully velvety. Thanks to its pronounced fruit acidity, the Pinotage appears impressively fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this youthful red wine from the Western Cape wine-growing region finally delights with good length. Once again, hints of plum and mulberry become apparent.

Vinification of the Pinotage from Golden Kaan

This red wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Pinotage. Only first-class grape material was used for this exceptionally powerful single-varietal wine from Golden Kaan. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by 9 months of maturation in French oak barrels.
